As part of the OLP Centre of Excellence team at Sun Life Financial, you will be joining an energetic and collaborative team who designs and develops leading-edge learning solutions using a variety of design tools and methodologies to support our Canadian Operational business partners across SLF Canada.

You have a minimum of 5 years instructional design experience with proven success developing instructor-led programs, virtual classrooms, web-based modules and consulting with business partners’ on their learning solutions. You recognize that one size does not fit all for creating learning and performance solutions that support programs such as new hire & new skills, systems, sales and service and product training. Because of this, you enjoy challenges and have no problem moving forward in the design process while striving to remove different levels of ambiguity and incompleteness.

**Desired Skills and Experience**
- Proficient at implementing curriculum design principles and standards that ensure consistency, flexibility and sustainability of learning materials
- Proven ability in writing concise, creative and effective instructions for deliverables including storyboards/scripts, job-aids, wikis, knowledge base articles, instructor and participant guides and e-learning modules
- Solid ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new project content
- You’re able to formulate key questions regarding content/design and work efficiently with SMEs to resolve them
- Expert ability in developing highly detailed WBT storyboards and ILT design layouts using set design templates
- Thorough knowledge of adult learning principles to create interactive and effective learning platforms based on the complexity of project content
- You’ll ensure all components of design align and support the programs’ learning objectives and program strategy
- You’ll create effective knowledge testing throughout the programs using platforms such as quizzes, learning activities, knowledge checks, decision-based scenarios and case studies
- Solid ability to create and maintain strong relationships across the organization at all levels
- Strong influencing skills and consulting experience with demonstrated ability to be effectively persuasive without direct authority
- You have advanced knowledge and experiencing using curriculum design tools such as Articulate, CamtasiAdobe Captivate, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Connect - Virtual Room, SimWriter, Snagit, HTML 5 and wiki markup
- You have experience voicing and editing web-based modules
- You have strong decision-making skills regarding artistic vision of curriculum builds and how to transform content into engaging and interactive experiences for our learners
- Strong customer service skills with demonstrated ability to deliver innovative solutions and ability to leverage data and technology when building learning programs
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as persuasive presentation skills
- Prefer bilingual english/fren
- You’re efficient and calm when working in stressful situations
- You’re excited about new and emerging Learning & Development trends and will push the boundaries with the in-house design tools we have
- Adaptable and resilient, able to manage complexity, comfortable working in ambiguous situations, flexible to handle a fast-paced environment and easily adaptable to a variety of management styles
- You’re bright, professional, friendly, respectful and love working in a collaborative environment
