Our Transportation team is one of the main driving forces behind what we do. Making sure that all our many products arrive on time and where they’re intended is a tall order. Fortunately, our Transportation Team is an expert at customer service and meeting expectations and timelines.
The Transportation Administrator is responsible for assisting the Transportation Supervisor in the coordination, execution and monitoring of all Transportation functions including but not limited to load planning, customer service and communication. The administrator works closely with the distribution centres, CHQ, third-party vendors, GSC and stores to ensure that Best Buy customer expectations are met.
As a Transportation Administrator, you will
- Be responsible for scheduling outbound and inbound appointments for Best Buy and third-party Distribution Centers
- Complete all paperwork and documentation required thoroughly, accurately and in a timely manner
- Maintain DC/Store pick, ship, and returns schedules for Best Buy and third-party Distribution Centers
- Enter data efficiently and accurately, as required
- Performs initial steps of billing process through carrier acceptance to More4Apps entry
- Works with third-party carriers and security on final product release
- Works with stores to ensure communication is forwarded to appropriate party
- Support Transportation Supervisor in monitoring carrier pickup and delivery performance. Provide updates to stores in a timely manner
- Identifies security risks and takes appropriate corrective measures
- Performs other duties or projects as assigned or required

The experience we need
- Grade 12 or equivalent, although a combination of relevant training and experience will also be considered
- Post high school certification in Logistics or Accounting/Admin or equivalent experience is an asset
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment, work well under pressure and have good attention to detail
- Must possess Intermediate proficiency with MS Office/Excel
