Abbotsford, Canada Educan Institutional Furniture Ltd. Full time

We are seeking a full-time, permanent **assembly line worker **to help manufacture chairs, desks, stools, and tables at our plant in Abbotsford.

- Transport materials between warehouse production zones
- Record and verify stock
- Operate manual and hand-powered tools (mallet, hand drill, etc.)
- Sand furniture
- Stack and package finished products
- Assist other assemblers when required
- Perform work in accordance with quality standards and safety procedures
- Participate in continual training and development
- Clean and review products prior to shipping
- Execute daily work instructions as directed by the Supervisor
- Lift and carry products (up to 40 pounds)
- Assist in metal, wood and paint shops when needed
- Report safety issues
- Manage housekeeping activities when requested
- Collect and properly dispose of garbage
- Experience and training with operating a forklift would be an asset_

**Additional requirements**:

- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (standing for long periods of time and lifting heavy loads of up to 40 lbs.)
- Ability to work on a team and communicate effectively
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Good hand-eye coordination
- Familiarity with power tools and machinery is a plus
- Commitment to safety rules

**Salary**: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
