As a member of a qualified group of people and under the supervision of the Technical Services Manager, the preventive maintenance person must deal directly with our customers as he will provide service for the customers in the rooms. Whose functions vary between the preventive maintenance of hotel rooms, meeting rooms in addition to all our public spaces including service areas. You would be trained to respond to emergencies as a member of our fire brigade. The position is called upon to work with your colleagues to carry out maintenance on the building's equipment and installations in order to ensure the operation of the premises and to make the customer's stay pleasant.

With maintenance operations running 24 hours a day, this position requires flexibility and cooperation within the department and all areas of the hotel. Serving our guests, our co-workers and the needs of our owners, this position holds a great responsibility to the overall success of the hotel.

**Main tasks**:

- Perform minor work related to customer service and building needs
- Ensure that all department equipment is properly maintained
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks such as caulking, painting and repairs to cabinetry and carpentry.
- Make an inventory of the equipment necessary for the execution of the tasks and communicate its needs to the director of the department
- Perform plumbing maintenance and repairs
- Perform various installation, modification or repair work on the building
- Perform any other related tasks required by his duties or requested by his immediate superior.
- Participate in the preventive maintenance program

**Skills**:

- Possess a high school diploma or vocational diploma
- Having training in general building maintenance would be an asset
- Good knowledge of plan reading.
- Skilled in various trades (electricity, heating, air conditioning, mechanical maintenance, general & plumbing)
- Effective communication
- Versatility and work organization
- Ability to work under the pressure of customer needs

**Training**:
DES (secondary school diploma)

**Years of experience required**:
3 years of experience

**Availability**:

- The person should be available for evening/night shifts and weekends.

**Languages**:

- We require bilingualism (French and English) because we serve an international clientele.
