**Position: PSW (Personal Support Worker) FT**

**Shifts: Full Time Nights - Weekdays & Weekends**

**Duties**:

- Provide support and assistance to individuals in need of care, including seniors and individuals with disabilities
- Assist with activities of daily living, such as showering, toileting, dressing, and grooming
- Administer medications according to prescribed schedules and dosage instructions
- Provide care for all activities of daily living in accordance with policy, established standards and recognized practice
- Complete all documentation on time, and in accordance with policies, ensuring that it is both current and accurate
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
- Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper techniques and equipment
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Housekeeping tasks, such as cleaning and disinfecting
- **Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in assisted living, caregiving, or related field preferred
- Knowledge of dementia care and understanding of the unique needs of individuals with memory impairments is an asset
- Familiarity with nursing home or home care settings
- Ability to administer medications accurately and safely
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Compassionate and patient demeanour when working with individuals in need of care
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Ability to work with and without supervision by a regulated health care provider
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to foster good public relations and effective working relationships in a patient and family centred environment
- Reliable transportation to work
- PSW certificate
- minimum 1 year experience with transfers and lifts
- clear criminal record background check
- up-to-date first aid/CPR qualification
- Vulnerable Sector Check will be required
- TB step 2 or Chest X-Ray
