Sales Development Representative

**What you’ll do**
Sales Development Representatives are the first point of contact with Arlo’s prospective clients. As the first level of the sales cycle, this role acts as the face of Arlo for prospects and determines which leads the Sales Consultant will dedicate time to. The SDR is responsible for conducting an initial discovery call to learn about the prospect’s requirements, determining if we might be a potential fit, and scheduling a demo with the Sales Consultant. The SDR has a direct impact on the sale and is responsible for driving the initial stages of the sales process. It is also crucial to sell the value of Arlo in these initial calls and get the prospect excited about seeing a demo.
The calls you make will be approximately 80% inbound triaging and 20% outbound. However, this is not a cold-calling-focused role. Ensuring prospects are triaged quickly and effectively is key to the success of this position.
**Responsibilities**
You will be responsible for:
- Following up on inbound leads, providing appropriate information to foster relationships, identifying which are a potential fit
- Nurturing leads until they are qualified and ready to book a demo with a Sales Consultant.
- Maintaining detailed documentation and analysis of leads in our CRM.
- Running outbound, targeted sales campaigns to identify new prospects and generate leads.
- Researching prospects online and in social media platforms such as LinkedIn. Use the information to build a profile of the lead.
- Responding to live website chat enquiries and, in the process, identify and qualify hot prospects.
- Responding to general sales enquiries.
- Engaging in relevant online forums to identify and reach out to new leads.
- At times, you may be asked to deliver live online sales demos.
- At times, you may be asked to attend conferences and events where Arlo exhibits.
**Experience & capabilities**
Experience
- 1+ years experience in sales.
- Outbound telesales specifically in the software industry would be an advantage.
- Experience working in or with a Software as a Service (SaaS) product is beneficial and a strong bonus.
Skills & qualifications
- Strong drive to achieve targets and thrive in a sales-focused environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Intuitive software skills or an interest in software would be an advantage.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into insights.
- Educated to degree level preferred but not essential.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $51,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
