**Company description**

Cannaverse is a legal cannabis retailer opening a new location in Kitchener, ON. The budtender role is responsible for creating meaningful interactions with customers. They are passionate about cannabis and customer service.

**Responsibilities**:

- Engage with customers to understand their needs and educate them on brands/products and responsible cannabis use
- Provide information based on ongoing learning and accurate product knowledge
- Understand, apply, follow and enforce guidelines as required by industry regulations
- Provide a friendly and personalized experience
- Work as a part of a team with a positive outlook and demeanor
- Assist and educate customers in making product selections that are right for them with a positive and warm demeanor
- Effectively utilize a compliant POS system and cash register
- Ensure the cleanliness of the store is maintained on a daily basis
- Check identification of consumers who appear to be 25 years of age or under

**Requirements**:

- Pre-employment Criminal Record Check
- Must be 19 years of age or older and eligible to legally work in Canada
- CannSell Ontario Standard Certificate
- Be knowledgeable with regards to cannabis products and accessories
- Have a passion for the cannabis industry
- Technologically proficient in use with tablets, MS Office, Google Docs, and other operating systems including troubleshooting
- Exemplary communication, problem-solving and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently/unsupervised
- Required to work flexible hours inclusive of evenings, weekends
- Time management and organizational skills
- Detail-oriented and experience handling cash
- 1 year experience in a fast paced retail setting preferred
- High level of trust, honesty, integrity, motivation and desire to be part of the process
- Desire and the ability to develop a positive, in-depth understanding of cannabis

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $16.00-$18.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 4 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evenings
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Night shift
- Weekend availability

COVID-19 considerations:
Must follow all COVID-19 safety procedures and requirements.

**Experience**:

- customer service: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Police Record Check (required)
- CannSell Certificate (required)
