Early Childhood and Education and Care Instructor

**Description**:
NLC's Early Childhood Education and Care program requires an instructor for the delivery of ECED 215: Curriculum 4 Working with Children with Diverse Abilities. The course is delivered on campus in Fort St. John on Friday mornings.
The contract is for a total of 90 hours over a 15-week period.
**Qualifications:
Required:
- Master's Degree in Early Care and Learning or in a closely related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor Degree may be considered based on applied experiences.
- Early Childhood Education & Care (ECEC) Diploma with Infant/Toddler and Special Needs Educator Certification from the BC ECE Registry (or proof of eligibility for certification).
- 3-5 years' experience working in a licensed Early Care and Learning Centre.
- Working knowledge of the BC Early Learning Framework.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Committed to student motivation and success; and the
- Ability to collaborate as an effective team member.
Preferred:
- Instructional experience in a comparable or related post-secondary program.
- Working knowledge of the BC Education Plan.
- Working knowledge of Child Care Licensing legislation and the role of the BC Ministry of Children Development's ECE Registry.
- Membership in the Early Childhood Educators of BC.
- BC Campus Facilitating Online Learning (FLO) workshop (or equivalent); and
- Experience instructing a culturally diverse group of students, including Indigenous and international students.
