**Job Overview**
**Duties**
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications.
- Oversee kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to plan menus, taking into consideration seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and place orders as necessary to ensure adequate stock.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in cooking techniques, food handling, and safety practices.
- Assist in the development of new recipes and menu items that align with restaurant goals.
- Handle customer inquiries regarding menu items and dietary restrictions with professionalism.
**Experience**
- Proven experience in the food industry, preferably in a restaurant or catering environment.
- Strong knowledge of food service operations, including meal preparation techniques and kitchen management.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices for food handling.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team setting.
- Creative flair for developing new dishes and enhancing existing menu offerings.
