**Position Summary**
We are looking for a **Distribution Centre SHE Manager **based at our **Mississauga Location **reporting into the **Distribution Centre Manager.** This is a critical role for the Distribution Centres in the Canadian network. The primary objective of the role is to protect and enhance the safety of our employees and environmental sustainability across Distribution Centres through prevention, fostering a culture of caring where SH&E is ingrained as a core value. The position is also expected to assist in ensuring compliance of all SH&E aspects for Canadian Distribution Centres.

**A day in the life of a DC SHE Manager**:
Lead, support and advise the Purina Canada Distribution Centre (DC) teams in all aspects of Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) with a strong focus on implementing market-level initiatives, including developing and driving site initiatives leading to continuous improvement in SHE performance in line with the Nestlé Continuous Excellence mindset of zero accidents and incidents.

You will also work on:
**SHE Strategies and Programs**
- Direct, coordinate, plan and maintain the development and implementation of the Canadian DC's SHE strategies and programs.
- Recommend DC SHE objectives considering Market and Corporate objectives.
- Monitor and communicate on performance to improve decision making regarding SHE and to integrate SHE into business decisions.
- Champion the DC's SHE safety programs including the risk assessment program, incident investigation, corrective action, and auditing, as well as ensuring a focus on culture.
- Help to create a culture of safety and service from the ground up and ensure compliance to the workplace safety standards, policies, and procedures at all times.

**SHE Compliance**
- Ensure adherence to all company principles, policies and requirements related to SHE, including NCE and LEAN.
- Ensure compliance with SHE-related legal requirements.
- Develop and sustain a local network (including authorities, other DC’s, etc).
- Provide coaching and support to the DC Manager's and DC Supervisors to achieve the SHE objectives.
- Ensure that SHE performance data is available and correctly managed.
- Promote the awareness of SHE. Implement, control, maintain and improve the DC SHE Management systems including achieving and maintaining ISO 45001 certification.
- Support this through developing and implementing specific tools and initiatives as part of the DC's SHE programs as well as exercising functional leadership of the TPM SHE pillars.

**Training**
- Responsible for coordination of compliance and safety training for all locations.
- Maintain accurate training records, training matrices and employee training records on hand to be always audit ready.
- Ensures proper and organized training records are kept as validation of training for both internal and external stakeholders.

**National SHE Responsibility**
- Adherence to regulatory for each DC in their respective province.
- Support for audits across all DC's.
- Communication and feedback to DC managers after site visits.
- Ensure compliance for all sites on training by providing them training material in a timely manner.
- Ability to travel 15-20% of the time to support other Canadian Distribution Centres.
