Purchasing and Bookkeeping Specialist

As a growing company, we are seeking a dedicated Purchasing and Bookkeeping Specialist to join our team and contribute to our continued success.
**Responsibilities**:
**Purchasing**:
- Research, select, and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best prices and terms for the company's purchases.
- Source and evaluate vendors, ensuring they meet quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness standards.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory levels.
- Coordinate with various departments to determine their purchasing needs and ensure timely procurement of goods.
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders as needed to maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing excess inventory
**Bookkeeping**:
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment scheduling, and collections (Quickbooks Online).
- Reconcile financial transactions, including purchase orders, invoices, and receipts.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions using QBO.
- Prepare financial reports, such as balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes by providing accurate financial data and analysis.
- Collaborate with the finance team to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
**General Administrative Support**:
- Assist in other tasks or projects as assigned by management.
**Qualifications**:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in purchasing and/or bookkeeping roles.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with vendors.
- Proficiency in Quickbooks Online software and MS Office suite.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: From $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
