Position: IT Support Technician and Warehouse Assistant
Status: Full-time, Permanent
Hourly wage: $22.00 CAD per hour
Location: 1675 Sismet Rd, Mississauga, ON L4W 4K8

**Responsibilities
- IT support technician**
- Identifying and resolving the root cause of office hardware, network, and software malfunctions
- Occasional travel on-site to locations in Toronto and the greater Toronto area (break and fix calls, small IT projects/installations)
- Occasional travel to client locations (3 total) in Toronto for L2 desktop support
(approximately 1-5 days per month)
- New desktop/laptop installations and troubleshooting
- Deliver a positive customer experience by maintaining contractual service levels
- Utilize your experience and knowledge for customer documentation development
- Perform hardware warranty and non-warranty repairs of desktops, notebooks, printers, servers, and network equipment as well as point of sale and other non-traditional, end-user equipment
- Prepare real-time, accurate, and detailed notes within the ticketing system

**Responsibilities
- Warehouse Assistant**
- Verify the completeness of all incoming shipments prior to signing the receipt of shipment.
- Drop off shipments at the end of the day if required to a UPS drop-off point.
- Maintain accurate inventory by ensuring all appropriate parties are informed when assets are received in a timely manner and are tagged appropriately.
- Verify count, and sort assets quickly and accurately.
- Identify and resolve issues as goods arrive, escalating issues as necessary to appropriate personnel.
- Read packing lists containing item details to ensure the accurate receiving of goods.
- Ensure asset tags are attached to assets if a serial number is not available.
- Distribute assets to appropriate locations according to the work order received.
- Ensure appropriate documentation is attached to special order goods.
- Gather pertinent receiving documentation for payment of invoices by the accounts office.
- Pack outgoing shipments securely, as per shipping specifications, for deliveries to customers and return shipments to vendors.
- Enter details into the daily shipping manifest for all outbound shipments.
- Complete appropriate documentation for all outbound shipments including customs declaration.
- Provide expertise and guidance to staff with respect to domestic and international waybills and customs documents
- Provide shipping costs to customers as required.
- Assist departments with the transportation of goods.
- Monitor freight charges in order to obtain the most cost-efficient shipping rates.
- Organize and maintain the receiving area to ensure accessibility and the most efficient use of space.
- Notify appropriate staff when shipping material is needed, ensuring an adequate supply

**Competencies and Qualifications**
- Excellent understanding of customer service (internal and external)
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts plainly and simply to store staff and helpdesk analysts
- Strong IT troubleshooting, consulting, flexibility, and resourcefulness skills
- Strong technical aptitude with an ability to learn quickly on the job
- Driven toward outstanding customer satisfaction
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as work independently
- Interpersonal sensitivity and customer responsiveness
- Driver's license and vehicle
- 2 years of relevant experience
- Able to complete a background check
- Experience with Microsoft Office or Google equivalent

Pay: $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Mississauga, ON L4W 4K8: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- IT support: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- CompTIA A+ (preferred)
