**JOB DESCRIPTION**:

- Carry out the monitoring and completion of all assigned duties pertaining to HACCP, SQF and Prerequisite programs.
- Write Label Copy and review food labels to ensure compliance with Canadian and US Regulations while providing advice on food labeling and regulatory matters
- Conduct daily inspection randomly from raw materials, processing to finished product packing, inform nonconforming issues to production supervisors
- Ensure all food safety protocols are being followed by plant employees.
- Inspect incoming raw and packaging materials randomly, monitor coolers and freezers temperature, ensure egg ingredients are rotated according to First In First Out
- Maintain, update, and verify suppliers’ file such as 3rd party audit, Letter of Guarantee, Kosher certificate, product specifications, certificate of analysis.
- Maintain and file all production and quality documents
- Work with production, maintenance, sanitation crews and shipping staffs to ensure food safety, GMP compliance with regulations
- Conduct internal audit as a written program
- Assist in reviewing and updating HACCP plan
- Documents the completed and assigned tasks of the SQF program
- Monitors maintain and improve product safety, legality, regulatory compliance, quality system, costs and work safety.
- From a Regulatory standpoint, manage packaging updates and changes for a number of products
- Develop NFT and ingredient statements

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Strong working knowledge of the Canadian Acts and Regulations as it relates to Food & Drugs Act and Regulations, Processed Products Regulation
- University degree, preference for Food Science or Nutrition
- 3+ years related experience
- Knowledge of nutracoster

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

- 8 hour shift

- Food industry: 1 year (preferred)
- HACCP: 1 year (preferred)
