Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Hospitality and Tourism Operations Instructor to join our team at a Toronto engineering college. As an instructor, you will be responsible for teaching courses related to hospitality and tourism operations within our program. Your expertise in industry practices, customer service, event management, and hotel operations will contribute to the development and delivery of engaging and practical lectures, case studies, and hands-on activities.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and deliver curriculum for Hospitality and Tourism Operations courses, covering topics such as customer service, event planning and management, hotel operations, food and beverage management, and tourism trends.
- Organize and oversee practical activities, including field trips, simulations, and guest speaker sessions, to provide students with hands-on learning experiences.
- Assign and evaluate projects, presentations, and exams to assess student performance and provide constructive feedback to foster their academic growth.
- Support student learning by providing guidance, mentoring, and assistance with assignments, career development, and networking opportunities.
- Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and advancements in the hospitality and tourism sector, incorporating relevant knowledge into teaching materials and methodologies.
- Collaborate with fellow instructors and college staff to enhance the learning environment, contribute to program development, and participate in faculty meetings and professional development activities.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes teamwork, cultural awareness, and professional ethics.

**Requirements**:

- Mater's degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Event Management, or a related field. Relevant industry certifications are desirable.
- Proven experience in the hospitality and tourism industry, with expertise in customer service, event management, hotel operations, food and beverage management, and tourism trends.
- Teaching experience in a post-secondary or adult education setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of industry software and technology used in hospitality and tourism operations.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage and inspire students.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities and deadlines effectively.
- Familiarity with engineering or technical disciplines is a plus.
- Continuous learning mindset, staying updated with industry trends and advancements in hospitality and tourism operations.

Job Summary:
The Toronto engineering college is seeking a Hospitality and Tourism Operations Instructor to teach courses within our program. As an instructor, you will develop and deliver curriculum, conduct interactive lectures and discussions, oversee practical activities, assess student performance, and provide guidance and support. Your expertise in hospitality and tourism operations will equip students with the essential skills and knowledge for successful careers in the industry. A Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Event Management, or a related field, along with teaching experience, is preferred for this role.

**Salary**: $50,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
