Come and join us — where payments meet purpose | What we are looking for Reporting to the Vice President, People, the Strategic Human Resources Business Partner (SHRBP) serves as a high-level advisor and strategic partner providing expert insight and advice to executives and senior leaders across the organization. The SHRBP is responsible for informing, advising, and communicating HR strategy across the organization while addressing complex business challenges. This role will also play a critical role in shaping our company culture, driving employee engagement, and supporting organizational evolution. The SHRBP will stay abreast of industry best practices and provide expert advice to the Vice President, People and Executives on advanced human resources solutions that contribute to the overall strategic goals of the organization and drive business outcomes. As a member of the People leadership team (PLT), the Director collaborates with the other PLT members to ensure strategy and priority alignment and to inform decision making. - A day in the life Your responsibilities as the Strategic Human Resource Business Partner (SHRBP) will include but are not limited to: Strategic Business Partnering - You will blend strategy with hands-on execution to support in the building and maintaining of high-performing and effectively designed teams within Payments Canada. - You will develop a deep understanding of key business priorities and continuously ask senior leaders, "How can I help you meet your business goals.” - You will consult with senior leadership to influence and advise on barriers to success, driving proactive solutions that support building a high-performance environment. - Be a source of support and expertise. - You will be responsible for proactive collaboration with the Vice President, People and Executives to identify and address strategic people priorities. - You will lead business conversations that promote our organization’s people priorities, address client needs, and build a future-focused workforce. - You will incorporate external best practices to enhance the company's HR strategy. Talent Management & Organizational Effectiveness - You will guide senior people leaders on executing talent management practices, such as organizational design, performance management, change management, retention and engagement, and succession planning. - You will collaborate with People Operations, Talent Development, Talent Acquisition, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) and leverage cross-functional knowledge to enable and empower a high-performing team. - You are a culture ambassador. You will lead by example, supporting a positive work environment. - You bring a deep understanding of designing and implementing best practices in a complex and fast-paced environment, including performance management, total rewards, employee relations and investigations, management coaching, culture, and values. - As a strategic thought leader, you can independently execute your ideas and champion plans while remaining open and flexible to feedback. - You will work collaboratively and in close partnership with the PLT to ensure the delivery of coordinated and aligned advisory services across the organization.
