We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated professional to join our organization in the role of Competitive Intelligence Analyst located at our Corporate office at 100 Midland Drive, Dieppe, New Brunswick.

Reporting to the Team Lead, Corporate Strategic Business Intelligence (SBI), the **Competitive Intelligence Analyst** will have superior analytical and business writing skills to support the SBI function across the J.D. Irving, Moncton Group of Companies.

In addition, the analyst will administer and control competitive intelligence information provided to the companies through an online portal, and prepare customized intelligence products and presentations for internal customers.
- Undergraduate Post-secondary education in business, finance, or like experience qualifications
- 0-3 years of experience in a business-related role
- Highly proficient in English language business writing with superior ability to extrapolate key information and effectively summarize content
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word (knowledge of Adobe Acrobat considered an asset)
- Experience creating and delivering effective PowerPoint presentations
- Time management and organizational skills, with very high attention to detail
- Self-motivated - works well individually, able to prioritize day-to-day tasks
- An aptitude towards learning new concepts, developing skills, and implementing change
- Driven to produce high quality work for internal customers
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to influence and inform decision-making
- Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to conduct formal meetings and presentations
- Strong analytical mindset, with ability to think critically

Key Responsibilities:

- Collect, curate, and distribute strategic business intelligence (SBI) through internal cloud-based intelligence portal
- Competitive Landscape analysis, monitoring and benchmarking
- Prepare and present SBI projects including:

- Domestic and international marketplace analysis
- Macro-economic and industry trends overviews
- Competitive benchmarking
- Special research and analysis projects (strategy and competitive intelligence)
- Provide background research for advanced analytics projects
- Provide support to the strategic planning process
- Learning, sharing, and leveraging of best practice within, across and between businesses
- Utilization of cross-functional teams to achieve results
- Finding a better way, every day
