**Accounts Payable Manager**

As part of our continued expansion we are seeking an Accountants Payable Manager (M1-G6) to join our growing team on a permanent basis located in Montreal, QC.

The Accounts Payable Manager will oversee and ensure the efficiency and accuracy of the company’s accounts payable operations and team, driving the invoice cycle, maintaining vendor satisfaction, and ensuring timely processing of invoices and payment to vendors. The role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and reconciliation of vendor accounts.

**The Role**

**As an Accountants Payable Manager, you will be responsible for**
- Leading, training, and mentoring the accounts payable team towards achieving departmental goals,
- Driving initiatives for process improvement and efficiency in the accounts payable function using technology solutions,
- Developing and implementing policies and procedures for effective accounts payable management and control,
- Monitoring and analyzing accounts payable processes and recommending improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy,
- Analyzing accounts payable data to identify trends, assess risks, and optimize cash flow,
- Reporting on accounts payable status, metrics, and issues to senior management, providing actionable insights and forecasts.
- Monitoring and managing the accounts payable department and ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments and expense reports,
- Overseeing regular reconciliation of accounts payable ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial policies and regulations.
- Ensuring accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes for accounts payable,
- Collaborating with other departments, such as procurement, logistics and accounting, to resolve issues and ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices,
- Managing vendor relationships and resolving any issues or disputes related to invoices or payments,

**Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience Required**:

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field,
- Professional certification in accounts payable is a desirable,
- Proven experience of at least 5 years in accounts payable management
- Strong leadership and team management skills,
- Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and practices, with a focus on accounts payable processes,
- Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel, and familiarity with procurement software such as Yooz and accounting software such as Sage Intacct or equivalent,
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and multitasking abilities,
- Effective communication and negotiation skills, with a focus on customer service,
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and solve problems proactively, working to deadlines,
