**Description**

Our Client is seeking a DevOps Specialist to manage service operations and design robust deployment environments, automation pipelines, monitoring systems, and diagnostic tools to support continuous, iterative development. This role emphasizes collaboration with cross-functional teams and users to evolve service delivery in agile environments.

**Experience Required/Mandatory Skills**
- The proposed resource must meet or exceed one of the following: - Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Computer Science and 5 years of DevOps related experience OR - 2-yr Information Technology related degree or diploma and 7 years of DevOps related experience
- Experience securing workloads in hybrid or multi-cloud environments, ensuring seamless integration of Zero Trust principles across on-premises and cloud platforms. (5+ years)
- Experience developing on cloud platforms and utilizing cloud services in development and in solutions. (5+ years)
- Experience in leading hybrid (cloud as well on-premise) data initiatives, from strategy development to implementation, ensuring alignment with business objectives. (5+ years)
- experience managing a production service in an enterprise using cloud-based infrastructure and/or using Infrastructure as Code. (5+ years)
- Experience with cloud-based development. (5+ years)

**Nice To Have Skills**
- Experience with cloud computing or big data platforms and infrastructure. (5+ years)
- Experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and the ability to leverage them to build scalable and resilient architectures. (5+ years)
- Experience with containerization, orchestration, and infrastructure-as-code practices for cloud or hybrid environments. (5+ years)
- Proven ability to define and communicate solution architecture for large-scale systems, including integrations, modernization strategies, and cloud-native design patterns. (5+ years)

**Location**
- Edmonton/Remote

**Work Environment**
- 7.5 months with 1 possible 24-month extension

**Hourly Rate**
- Negotiable
