Here’s the job opportunity

This role is based in Toronto, Canada.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Guide and review the work of analysts, actively participate in quarterly and year-end IFRS17 valuations, and contribute to quarterly roll forwards and annual basis changes
- Provide IFRS17 reporting support by improving and refining the AXIS model, valuation process, and RiskIntegrity financial reporting procedures
- Complete capital and performance/product management through capital adequacy calculations such as LICAT and MCCSR, and evaluate and recommend improvements to reinsurance programs, including leading reinsurance negotiations.
- Perform other ad hoc requests, and special projects requested by management

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor of Science degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or a related field with a background in Calculus, Probability and Statistics
- Associate level designation with 5+ years of experience
- Strong knowledge of IFRS 17, and Canadian reserving standards and rules, e.g. LICAT, MCCSR, etc.
- Proficiency in actuarial modelling software (AXIS experience is considered an asset)
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office software with Excel expertise
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proven ability to be deadline driven with strong time management skills
