**Field Service Technician, ON**

**50% Travel Involved**

We are hiring an experienced Field Service Technician with **food manufacturing** experience to install new and repair existing equipment, and provide routine maintenance and service. This position involves travelling to our client’s facilities and must be willing to travel 50% and live near an airport.

As a customer-focused technical expert, the Field Service Technician will address customer issues by troubleshooting and repairing equipment, continually learning, and adding value while building and improving relationships.

**Duties**:

- Address customer needs and manage their equipment.
- Read diagrams, schematic drawings, engineering specifications, and service manuals to determine best practices.
- Analyze equipment performance.
- Troubleshoot to identify and isolate problems.
- Assist customers with finding part numbers and obtaining quotes.
- Resolve issues and restore equipment to optimal working conditions.
- Document and submit reports and expenses regularly.
- Support the sales team and keep them informed.
- Track, document, and return parts used on job sites.
- Participate in projects to improve equipment safety and performance.

**Requirements**:

- Must have field service experience in maintenance/service, including troubleshooting, and repairing electro-mechanical machinery.
- Previous experience building relationships and trust with customers is a must.
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic power systems, conveyor systems, or control systems.
- Strong communication skills and ability to track job orders on computer.
- Experience repairing or maintaining food processing, or automation machinery is highly desirable.
- Industrial Electrical ticket an asset.
- Must be able to travel to USA and hold a valid passport.

**Compensation & Work Schedule**:

- $90,000-$100,000/year
- Comprehensive medical and dental benefits package, mileage, annual bonus, 3 weeks paid vacation, free parking and sick days.
- Training for the first 2 months based in Toronto.
- Annual company training trip.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $90,000.00-$100,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 36 - 40 per week
