**Basic Purpose**

Responsible for the leadership of hourly skilled trades employees

**Principal Accountabilities**
- Engage hourly employees in work activities with safety/quality/cost in mind
- Adhere to and conform with all applicable procedures, policies and regs
- Responsible for planning and budgeting for maintenance department
- Ensure PM schedules are completed on a timely basis
- Ensure continuous improvement planning is being implemented
- Ensure breakdowns are addressed on a timely basis by using effective troubleshooting skills
- Responsible for external vendors, suppliers, and contractors

**Required Skills, Education, and Experience**
- OSSGD grade 12 or equivalent.
- Successful completion of a recognized apprenticeship-training program as Electrician, Millwright, Plumber, Pipe Fitter, Gas Fitter 1 or Engineering Technologist.
- Five years related maintenance experience.
- Familiarity with technologies, methodologies and techniques used in manufacturing systems.
- Ability to analyze and improve Predictive and Preventative Maintenance initiatives in the facility.
- Must possess good analytical; decision-making; project management skills.
- Familiar with OHSA; collective agreement provisions; ESA
- Must possess excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Very strong troubleshooting skills and problem solving skills.
- Must be knowledgeable in process controls and programming.
- Ability to interact effectively with all internal & external stakeholders
- Ability to work in a unionized environment with qualified tradesmen

**Salary**: $80,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
