Overview Responsibilities
- Support the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, including merchandising, inventory management, and customer service.
- Assist with recruiting, training, and developing staff to ensure a high-performing team.
- Manage payroll processing, scheduling, and time management for team members.
- Supervise sales activities, including retail sales, pricing strategies, and promotional campaigns to maximize revenue.
- Oversee POS systems, cash handling procedures, and cashiering operations to ensure accuracy and security.
- Coordinate purchasing and inventory replenishment to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Implement merchandising standards to enhance product presentation and store appearance.
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Support marketing initiatives and promotional events to increase store visibility and sales.
- Monitor budget adherence and assist with financial reporting such as bookkeeping and sales analysis.
- Lead by example in demonstrating excellent communication skills, leadership qualities, and organizational skills. Requirements:
- Proven experience in retail management or supervisory roles within a retail environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a team effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in POS systems, cash handling, merchandising, and pricing strategies.
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are preferred to serve diverse customer bases effectively.
- Experience with recruiting, training & development, budgeting, marketing, and administrative tasks such as bookkeeping is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- Demonstrated ability in negotiation, sales management, customer service excellence, and store management principles.
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities such as payroll processing, purchasing, inventory control, and sales tracking simultaneously.
