**Position Summary**

The Controller will manage and oversee the company’s financial operations, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and alignment with organizational goals. This role requires a strong leader to supervise the accounting team, enhance internal controls, and contribute to strategic decision-making. The Controller will play a vital role in financial planning, reporting, and process improvement to support the company’s dynamic operations.

**Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting Operations**
- Lead **month-end, quarter-end, and year-end** processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reports.
- Supervise and mentor the **accounting team**, fostering professional growth and operational excellence.
- Oversee **monthly contract accounting**, ensuring compliance with revenue recognition standards.
- Manage **cash flow** and ensure effective control over bank accounts.

**Audit & Compliance**
- Prepare for **internal and external audits**, delivering accurate and timely schedules.
- Maintain and enhance **internal controls** to ensure compliance with **SOX** and company policies.
- Monitor **balance sheet** and **P&L reconciliations** to ensure reporting accuracy.

**Strategic Contributions**
- Collaborate on **R&D tax credit claims** with external accountants and leadership.
- Drive **ad-hoc projects**, focusing on process improvement and automation to enhance efficiency.
- Foster the development of robust **financial controls** to safeguard company assets.

**Required Qualifications and Skills**
- **Education**: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting.
- **Experience**:

- Minimum of **6 years** in relevant roles.
- CPA designation required.
- **Skills**:

- Strong leadership abilities to guide and mentor a team.
- Expertise in **Balance Sheet** and **Income Statement** management.
- Proven **problem-solving** and **analytical skills**.
- **Languages**: Fluent in **English and French** (oral and written).
- **Technical Skills**:

- Proficiency in **Oracle SmartView** (preferred).
- Prior experience in the **Aerospace and Defense** industry (preferred).

**Security and Eligibility Requirements**
- Eligible for registration with the **Controlled Goods Program (CGP)**.
- Ability to obtain and maintain **Government of Canada Reliability Status** and **Secret Level 2 clearance**.
- Must meet **U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)** compliance requirements.
