**The Position**: We’re looking for someone to be a part of our Production Team as a Production Planner. You would be contributing to the team by:

- Scheduling machines, quality inspection and packaging inspection
- Regularly following up with Production, Quality and Shipping and ensure the schedule is being met
- Adjusting the schedule to deal with unforeseen issues or customer requirement changes

Your team will include the General Manager, the Quality Manager and a Shipper / Receiver who will all help support you to get the job done.

**Pay**:Pay range is $20 - $27 / hr to start based upon experience, your ability to be productive independently and your contribution to the alfa team. We review pay annually and it increases with ability as well as dedication and effort (e.g. how independent you are, your knowledge of our parts and scheduling requirements and challenges; your attendance and punctuality; in a small company we know WHO does WHAT Your effort will not go unnoticed here).

**Shift**:The Production Planner is a day shift position.

**Working Conditions**: The Production Planner will spend 60% of their time in the office and 40% of their time in the plant environment. Exercise that includes standing, walking and the occasional lifting are all part of the job

**What we will expect from you**:

- Become confident with all of alfa’s processes from machining to outside services to shipping
- Collect and record data regularly from customer orders to ensure it is up to date
- Schedule machines and machine operators to ensure parts are made to meet customer orders
- Schedule quality inspectors to ensure parts are checked to meet customer orders
- Schedule shipping to ensure parts are inspected, packaged, and shipped to meet customer deadlines
- Follow up with Production, Quality and Shipping to ensure schedules are being met; if they are not being met, make the necessary adjustments and contact the customer if required
- Create Shipping Lists to organize parts according to customer order and deadlines
- Complete Packing Slips to go with customer orders
- Communicate regularly with Production, Quality and Shipping so that all teams are aware of priorities as well as any challenges that need to be overcome to meet customer orders

**What skills you should have**:

- Very strong attention to detail with the ability to compile information and make decisions
- Demonstrated strong work ethic with a determination to complete duties well and on time
- A versatile, self-starter with a positive attitude who is cautiously assertive
- Ability to prioritize multiple demands and unexpected events
- Ability to positively motivate team members to meet or exceed plans
- Confident navigating computer files and using computer programs
- Advanced ability to use Microsoft Office tools
- Commitment and responsibility towards quality of work completed daily
- Comfortable working in a factory environment
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English

**What experience you should have**:

- Manufacturing planning or related field 1 to 3 years (preferred)
- Automotive experience is an asset
