As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will receive direction from the pharmacist on duty and Pharmacy Manager and deliver a customer centred pharmacy service, while adhering to our values, operating standards and Ontario College of Pharmacists' standards of practice.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide prompt and courteous patient service; assist patients at the counter, receive written prescriptions for Pharmacist, and retrieve filled prescriptions.
- Create and maintain patient profiles, and scan and file patient records.
- Process transactions - make changes, and process credit and debit transactions to receive payments.
- Answer phones, check voice messages and directs/provide information to patients.
- Contact patients/prescribers as necessary/directed.
- Receive orders and ensure product received matches invoices and is received in good condition and then is stored/put away appropriately; process returns as needed.
- Perform periodic inventory checks and inventory-related tasks.
- Assist with dispensary paper work as directed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year working knowledge/experience with Kroll.
- Proficient with current PC systems, MS Office programs and pharmacy software (Kroll).
- Interpersonal skills to build strong working relationships and positive work environment.
- Able to listen carefully, communicate clearly and follow instructions.
- Organizational skills to prioritize, plan ahead, manage time and be punctual.
- Customer service skills to achieve optimal customer satisfaction by recognizing customer needs/wants.
- Initiative to identify and complete tasks independently.
- Able to fill prescriptions accurately and make Blister packs.

Hours: 24-40 hours per week
**Salary**: Commensurate with experience - to be discussed.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, some weekends as needed.
