**Summary**

Department of National Defence is seeking a Technical Writer that can write clearly and articulate operational practices and procedures. The Technical Writer must be well-versed in using Microsoft (MS) Word, MS PowerPoint, and able to create and edit diagrams in a MS-compatible format.

**Responsibilities**
- Update and create operational procedures including manuals and documents, for operational practices including, but not limited to, Project Officers Guide (POG), Standing Orders and various technical reports.
- Format several documents in different formats into a single cohesive technical document as required by the Technical Authority (TA);
- Consolidate various documents into combined parent documents
- Establish document control, hyperlinks, and reference links for all documents
- Build diagrams to help visualize operations.
- Develop and incorporate operational manuals into training manuals. This includes liaising with Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) to bring early documents into a finished state
- Liaise with SMEs to perform the required tasks.

**Mandatories**
- Minimum of four (4) years’ experience creating, preparing, and reviewing Policy, Technical, and Training documentation for the Government of Canada
- Must hold a Reliability Clearance
- Must hold Controlled Goods Program (CPG)

- University degree in a relevant field
- Relevant Professional certification
