Are you an experienced human resources professional that thrives in building relationships and developing Indigenous workforce? Do you have experience building and delivering Indigenous programs? We’re hiring an Indigenous Workforce Development Advisor to advance Indigenous Workforce Development at Suncor. This includes leadership, employee and student programming, succession plans, recruitment, and other tactics comprehensive of the employee lifecycle.

Minimum Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in human resources (HR) or related field- 10 years of experience developing and delivering HR programs- 5 years of experience building and managing project plans and working with Indigenous communities- Strong understanding and/or lived experience of Indigenous culture, protocols, worldviews to support effective relationship building and delivery of solutions- Ability to work with people data and build reports to demonstrate progress, areas for improvement or support- Strong organization, communication, and presentation skills, and experienced with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Responsibilities:
- Advance the design and implementation of the Indigenous Workforce Development in support of Suncor’s Inclusion & Diversity Strategy and Journey of Reconciliation- Manage relationship with select Indigenous communities and develop collaborative goals in support of skills, employment and training (SET). Track and report data and results to internal governance, Council and senior executives- Support Indigenous recruitment efforts. Identify if new solutions are required to support objectives, and support and/or lead delivery of these solutions- Identify and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support delivery as required- Provide input to support and inform Journey of Reconciliation, HR programming and employee inclusion networks- Support other diversity and inclusion priorities as identified

Location and other Key Details:
- You will work out of Calgary or Fort McMurray, Alberta- To learn more about living and working in Fort McMurray,- click here- Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs- This position requires travel to various Indigenous Communities for meetings and events on a regular basis, including weekends
