Job Title: Superintendent / Cleaner

Location: Ottawa & Gatineau

Experience Required: 1-2 years of experience in property maintenance or related fields.

Job Overview:
Key Responsibilities:

- Property Maintenance:

- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs (e.g., replacing light fixtures, toilets, locks).
- Respond to emergencies such as flooding, fire, and heating issues.
- Conduct regular inspections of properties to ensure safety and cleanliness.
- Cleaning Duties:

- Clean vacant units in preparation for new tenants.
- Maintain cleanliness of common areas and building exteriors as required.
- Work Orders & Repairs:

- Complete work orders related to minor repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Coordinate with contractors or specialists for larger repairs when necessary.
- Tenant Services:

- Hand over keys to new tenants upon move-in.
- Collect keys from tenants during move-out and conduct move-out inspections.
- Respond promptly to tenant requests and concerns.

Qualifications:

- 1-2 years of experience in property maintenance or as a superintendent/cleaner.
- Basic knowledge of minor plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work.
- Ability to respond to and manage emergencies effectively.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Valid driver’s license is preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively with tenants and management.

Additional Requirements:

- Flexibility to work on-call for emergencies.
- Physical ability to handle repairs and cleaning duties.

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

Work Location: On the road
