**Job Description Summary**:
Do you enjoy deep diving into the scientific aspects of research and thrive on solving complex problems? STEMCELL is looking for a detail oriented, early-career scientist interested in supporting product development and contributing to collaborative initiatives across the company.
As a Technical Scientist in our Mesenchymal Cell group within the Research and Development department, your innovative mindset, combined with your deep scientific and technical knowledge of mammalian cell culture and biological assays, will be utilized to drive the optimization of high quality products.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Fully responsible for several scientific platforms and technical areas within the mesenchymal cell product portfolio
- Use extensive knowledge and expertise in mammalian cell culture and assay development to design, conduct, and analyze experiments
- Serve as an in-house technical expert and scientific resource, responsible for research project planning, timelines, and budget
- Facilitate internal collaborations to move a product from research to launch, and participate in interdepartmental communications and collaborations
- Supporting, mentoring, and training junior team members on relevant techniques and topics
Knowledge and Qualifications:
- Master’s degree with 3-5 years or PhD degree with 0-1 years of relevant experience (academic or industry) needed
- Mammalian cell culture experience is required, preferably using Mesenchymal cells, and knowledge of primary cells, co-culturing techniques and/or organoid assay development is highly desirable
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, with experience preparing scientific documents and delivering scientific presentations, as well as working in team settings
