**Full Job Description**

Construction Estimator For General Contracting-ICI 5 Years Experience Needed

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Perform quantitative evaluation of materials, manpower and equipment required for project estimates and bids.
- Lead and oversee estimation process, while mentoring and developing estimating team.
- Attend pre-bid meetings to assess project difficulty to anticipate issues and prepare accurate competitive costs.
- Work in conjunction with project Subcontractor(s) and Consultant(s) to develop detailed project bids and analysis.
- Develop and manage project budget, schedules, contracts etc.
- Establish preliminary project schedules in order to estimate project costs.
- Analyze and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications and proposals to identify costs and potential extras.
- Communicate project risks effectively with all involved
- New and repeat business - client management and business development
- Prepare and communicate internal reports for key stakeholders.
- Participate in the resolution of project disputes
- Preparation of project documents like Bonding, Insurance Certificates, CCDC's, etc.
- Manage handover process to project management team once projects have been awarded

**Knowledge, Skills and Competencies**:

- 5-10 years in ICI Construction and New Development experience estimating projects $1-20M
- Strong knowledge of various types of construction contracts
- Preparing schedules, estimates, quotes and contracts
- Client interaction, Relationship Building
- Strong understanding of OHSA legislation, standards, and guidelines
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Office; MS Project, Excel, Word
- Advanced experience with various bidding portals and Building Connected
- Quantity Takeoffs
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Knowledge of COR is an asset
- Must be able to work in an office environment

**Salary**: $80,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
