Coordinator, Parking and Ground Transportation

Parking and Ground Transportation (PGT) operations are an integral part of the airport journey providing the first and last customer experience at the airport and contribute to key non-aeronautical revenue for YVR.
**Position overview**
Are you someone who is operationally minded, likes to get out from behind the desk and enjoys a fast-paced work environment with lots of variety? As a **Coordinator, PGT **your main area of focus will be to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support an efficient day to day operation in our parking facilities and terminal curb side areas. Drawing on your strong ability to problem solve and communicate you will be planning for and mitigating impacts from construction projects and other activities on the operation.
**Key responsibilities include**:
- Conduct PGT operational impact assessments due to construction activities with a focus on curbside, parking and ground transportation operations and facilities.
- Plan, coordinate and communicate contingency operations due to construction, maintenance or special event impacts. Monitor to ensure compliance to plan.
- Attend project construction meetings and communicate pertinent information to real time operational team and other stakeholders.
- Coordinate and administer assigned PGT programs related to employee parking and commercial vehicle operations.
- Administer various PGT operational systems including oversight of day-to-day system performance and acting as point of contact for the vendor; includes parking system, online booking system, parking guidance system and the commercial vehicle management system.
- Run revenue and operational statistical reports as required.
**Key qualifications include**:
- Three to five years’ experience in an operational role, supplemented by a two-year diploma with a focus on business or operations; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Strong critical thinking, decision making and problem-solving skills.
- Proven history of building solid working relationships with internal and external customers and demonstrated experience managing difficult conversations.
- A self-starter with the ability to work independently and multitask in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
- Demonstrated experience working with technology systems in an operational setting.
- Knowledge of basic finance to generate and interpret operational and financial reports.
