**ACCOUNT DIRECTOR, BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT**

We're looking for a driven, well-connected **Account Director, Business Development** to join our growing agency. If you're someone who thrives on building genuine relationships, spotting big opportunities, and helping brands grow through creative strategy - this one's for you.

In this role, you'll be responsible for identifying and cultivating new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and shaping the agency's overall sales and growth strategy. You'll work closely with internal teams to align business development efforts with creative execution, and ensure clients see the full value of working with us.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Business Development Strategy & Execution**
- Lead the development and execution of our new business strategy, identifying prospects across key industries.
- Generate leads through market research, outreach, networking, and referrals.
- Develop personalized outreach plans that align with agency capabilities and growth goals.

**Client Acquisition & Relationship Management**
- Own the client acquisition pipeline-from prospecting and pitching to conversion and onboarding.
- Act as a trusted partner to prospective clients, understanding their needs and offering creative, tailored solutions.
- Nurture relationships with key contacts, building trust that lasts well beyond the first campaign.

**Strategic Account Management**
- Deepen relationships with existing accounts, identifying upsell/cross-sell opportunities.
- Understand client goals, challenges, and audiences to proactively recommend solutions.
- Advocate for the client internally while ensuring our creative and strategic standards are upheld.

**Cross-Functional Collaboration**
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure client needs are met with high-impact work.
- Share market insights, competitor activity, and customer trends to inform campaign and service development.

**WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR**
- 5+ years of progressive business development or account management experience in advertising, digital marketing, or related fields.
- Solid knowledge of marketing trends in Canada and the U.S.
- Proven success in consultative sales, lead generation, and client retention.
- Excellent communication skills-written, verbal, and visual.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to connect business goals with creative outcomes.
- Experience developing proposals, leading pitches, and managing negotiations.
- Self-starter with strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings or events.
- Bachelor's degree preferred, but equivalent experience is also welcome.
