Primacare Living Solutions is seeking a passionate, energetic, and innovative Registered Nurse and leader to join our team as **Director of Care.**
Reporting to the Administrator, the Director of Care is responsible for the management of all aspects of nursing care within the home to ensure quality resident care through the effective and efficient delivery of established standards within legislative and budgetary requirements.
**Key Responsibilities and Skills**:
- Oversee the delivery of resident care including infection control, staff education, and orientation.
- Oversee the quality management program for the Nursing Department, ensuring required outcomes are achieved.
- Ensure standards of resident care and services are consistently achieved.
- Ensure all MOHLTC requirements are met.
- Assume the Administrator's duties in their absence.
- Hire, orientate, evaluate, and educate staff; participation in matters surrounding union contracts.
- Oversee the development/management of the nursing department's budget.
- Strong leadership, team building, and analytical skills.
- Strong communication, documentation, and people skills.
- Has understanding and empathy for the needs of the senior population.
- Has an understanding of RNAO Best Practice Guidelines (BPG).
- Make positive contributions to the home environment that ensure the values of Primacare Living Solutions are maintained.
**Job Requirements**:
- Registered Nurse with current CNO registration in good standing.
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience with IPAC.
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience with relevant legislation.
- BScN. or Nursing Unit Leadership Certificate preferred.
- Minimum 3-years of Nursing experience in the LTC or Hospital sector preferred.
- Minimum 1-year of Management experience in the LTC or Hospital sector preferred.
- Proof of full immunization against COVID-19, in accordance with the Ontario Ministry of Long-Term Care's _Long-term care home COVID-19 immunization policy_.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $100,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
