We are looking for an Assistant Manager to be a member of our team.
he Assistant Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining Professional Customer relationships, and is accountable for financial metrics and maintaining service and appearance standards.
The role requires someone who can help hire and manage a team of between 3-5, Red Seal Technicians, Automotive Service Apprentices and Lube Techs, as well as front line client service personnel. Getting the highest possible performance from each member, in a collaborative and collegial environment.
The position requires a minimum of 40-44 hours per week (excluding meal break periods). The average schedule is 5 days a week, 9-hour shifts, including weekends, Additional hours may be required based on staffing, store conditions, and other business demands. Assistant Managers are required to work a schedule based on the needs of the business.
Primary Responsibilities
- Achieve overall store sales goals and service objectives
- Help Manage and grow Professional Customer relationships
- Help in the selection, hiring, development, performance management, coaching, scheduling, and engagement of store Team Members
- Be the Assistant Coach with all Team Members to deliver on Customer expectations
- Embrace diversity and foster a respectful environment for both Customers and Team Members
- Friendly communication
- Safety knowledge and skills
- Ability to execute POS and Parts lookup systems
- Ability to recruit, select, hire, and develop quality Team Members
- Working knowledge of automotive systems preferred
- Speak and write English; communicate effectively and build strong relationships with Customers, peers, and senior management
- Use Microsoft software effectively (Word, Excel required; PowerPoint preferred)
- Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, percentages, sales increases, and gross profit percent
- Ability to work an assortment of days, and weekends as needed
- 2-3 years of experience managing a team of 1 - 5 Team Members in a fast-paced and highly dynamic retail environment
Must have a valid driver's license
