DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Overall day-to-day accounting cycle including but not limited to AP, AR, payroll, reconciliation of bank statements & vendor accounts
Calculation and remittance of HST, WCB and Source Deductions to CRA
Prepare reports as required, maintain office systems, including data management and filing (electronic & paper) in accordance with company standards
Assisting with year end reports & preparation of files to be sent to company accountants
Maintain up-to-date supplier/contractor contact information, WCB coverage confirmation, process vendor billing with verification of contract/quote accuracy, issue T5018’s
Payroll - bi-weekly payroll, ROE’s, source deductions, T4’s
Investigate and resolve accounting and billing issues
QUALIFICATIONS:
Post-secondary education in Accounting/Finance/Business or related field
2 + years related accounting and administration experience
Proficiency in Sage 50 software
Knowledge and understanding of accounting/bookkeeping principles and practices
Focused and able to balance competing demands
Self-motivated, able to multi-task, proactive & can work independently
Professional, well-organized with strong administrative, communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in small business office environment & working directly with company principles
Able to problem solve, with strong attention to detail
The job requires good time management with the ability to resolve issues, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines while maintaining a level of accuracy.

**Salary**: $40,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
