Field Technician

AECOM is actively seeking a Field Technician for full time field based activities to be based out of the Markham, ON office with travel to sites in York Region and Toronto. The work will involve a 40 hr work week with optional paid overtime and includes working as a crew of 2 planning daily maintenance activities from scheduled service work orders and proceeding to install and maintain flow monitoring equipment as required. AECOM will provide all required training including:
+ Confined Space Entry
+ Traffic Control
+ Working at Heights
+ First aid / CPR
+ Defensive driving

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
+ Work under supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member
+ Assist with field work (e.g., flow meter installation and maintenance, rain gauge calibrations)
+ Provide flow data quality assurance / analysis / reporting
+ Work with industry standard computer software such as MS Office and ArcGIS
+ Provide GIS support in the preparation of maps, drawings and schematics
+ Maintain general understanding of procedures, company policies to achieve set results and deadlines
Minimum Requirements
+ High-school diploma
+ Mechanical aptitude and willingness/ability to work with their hands
Preferred Qualifications
+ A college diploma is preferred but not mandatory
+ An understanding of wastewater collection systems and flow monitoring is preferred but not mandatory
