**Position overview**

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Ensuring integration between the YVR Strategic Plan, Master Plan, Land Use Plan, Infrastructure Plans, and Investment Plans
- Supporting the Director, Planning in the preparation of the YVR Master Plan, Land Use Plan and provision of inputs into Investment Plans
- Leading preparation and update of Airport Infrastructure Plans (primarily Terminal and Baggage, but also supporting Airside and Groundside), working closely with other business units including Airport Capacity and System Design, Engineering, Finance, Climate and Environment, Passenger Experience and Operational teams
- Directing the preparation of complex planning studies for the development and improvement of airport facilities, infrastructure and land assets
- Contributing to the preparation of conceptual designs, site selection studies, options analyses in support of identified needs
- Coordinating and addressing input from internal departments, stakeholders, business partners and external planning agencies

**Key qualifications include**:

- Bachelor’s degree in aviation planning, Engineering/ Industrial Engineering, Architecture, or a related field; an equivalent combination of training and experience would be considered
- At least 10 years of progressive and professional-level experience in airport planning
- Registered as a Professional Engineer, a Registered Professional Planner or Architect in the Province of British Columbia, or eligible for professional registration
- Knowledge of principles of strategic planning; airport planning; terminal, baggage or facility planning; airport and airline procedures and processes
- Experience in preparing planning documents including Master Plans, Land Use Plans, infrastructure plans
- Demonstrated experience in option evaluation and the preparation of business cases
- Effective project management methods and techniques and the ability to manage external consultants in a manner conducive to the timely and efficient completion of work
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain harmonious working relationships, trust and credibility with internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with proficiency in the English language and demonstrated experience developing and presenting written and verbal reports to a senior audience on complex issues using suitable business language
- High energy, well organized, detail oriented and adaptable to changing priorities
- Ability to influence, think critically, make complex decisions and work in a collaborative team environment

**Salary Range **:$117,040 to $168,245 per annum, based on 37.5-hour work week. This is individually tailored to reflect your unique experience, qualifications, and internal equity. Performance-Based Incentive: Eligible for an annual bonus target at 15% of your annual salary.
