About Us
Derma Institute is an international medical aesthetics training academy, delivering hands-on, evidence-based training to licensed medical professionals. We specialise in small-group, practical training with a strong focus on safety, anatomy, and clinical outcomes. The Role We are looking for an experienced and passionate Aesthetic Educator to deliver training courses in Calgary. You will be responsible for teaching both the theoretical and practical elements of the following treatments:
- PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma)
- Polynucleotides
- Skin Boosters
- Microneedling
- Chemical Peels (Alumier) All courses are delivered in small groups (maximum 5 delegates) with a strong emphasis on hands-on learning using live models.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver structured training in line with Derma Institute protocols
- Teach core principles including:
- consultation and patient assessment
- anatomy and treatment planning
- safety and complication management
- Supervise delegates during hands-on practical sessions
- Ensure all treatments are carried out safely and within scope of practice
- Maintain a professional and supportive learning environment
- Follow all clinical SOPs and training standards Requirements:
- Licensed medical professional (e.g. RN, NP, MD) in Alberta
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in aesthetic treatments
- Strong experience in:
- PRP
- microneedling
- skin boosters / regenerative treatments
- chemical peels (Alumier preferred)
- Confident teaching or mentoring others (formal or informal experience)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Availability for weekend training sessions Desirable
- Previous teaching or training experience
- Experience working in a clinical training environment
- Passion for education and developing other practitioners
