Roadtrek Inc. is currently recruiting for a fulltime permanent **Machine Shop Operator** to join our team on the day shift from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm Monday through Friday. **Responsibilities**
- Machine parts to specifications, verify dimensions of parts and tools using precision measuring instruments to calculate dimensions or tolerances, using instruments such as micrometers, Vernier calipers and height gauges
- Set-up, operate and maintain various machine shop equipment such as lathes, milling machines, drill press, saws and brake press
- Read, understand and produce components from Engineering drawings
- Work effectively with other members of the department/plant to achieve production goals
- Keep machines and surrounding area clean while maintaining a safe work environment
- Work safely in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Perform other job-related duties as directed by Supervisor

**Knowledge, Skills and Experience**
- Secondary School Diploma or GED is an asset. Trade school training or college education is a bonus
- Previous experience operating CNC machinery as well as precision measurement tools an asset
- Proficient with Math skills: addition, subtraction, division, fraction
- 3-5 years’ experience in a machine shop environment in a similar role would be ideal
- Mechanical aptitude and excellent manual dexterity
- Detail oriented, quick learner, dedicated, and punctual
