**CNC Machine Shop Manager**

Our client, Baumeier Corporation is a Canadian owned and operated metal manufacturing company, specializing in medium to small production, prototyping and custom projects. In business since 1991, Baumeier is focused on meeting the design and manufacturing needs of its customers.

The Machine Shop Manager is responsible for managing the CNC machine shop, advancing the technology contained within and for improving procedures and process control.

**Responsibilities**:

- Oversee and coordinate all day-to-day operational and support activities of the shop.
- Ensure that work production meets established objectives, specifications, and standards, and that all applicable operating policies and procedures are adhered to
- Supervise the work of employees engaged in shop production and production support activities.
- Analyze work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces.
- CNC programming of lathes and mills, including 5 axis milling.
- 5 axis programming/operations in a custom manufacturing environment.
- Program, setup and proving out programs for Milling and Lathe machines.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

**Qualifications**:

- 5+ years of professional experience managing a machine shop or equivalent manufacturing facility experience.
- 3+ years of professional experience reading G-code and programming NC machines.
- Proven ability to operate and program CNC Lathes, 3 Axis, and 5 Axis Mills using Mastercam.
- Experience working in an ISO 9000/N299 is an asset.
- Manual machining experience an asset.

Qualified individuals will have extensive leadership experience, a positive attitude, the ability to take on various tasks, good organization and communication skills combined with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

**Salary**: $85,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
