Flair Airlines is currently seeking a permanent, full-time **Manager, Inflight Instructional Design **to join our growing and ever-changing organization. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Inflight Standards and Training, the Manager, Inflight Instructional Design is responsible for the instructional design strategy, planning, execution, and overall program management of the Inflight Training curriculum (in-class and e-learning).

The **Manager, Inflight Instructional Design **will be based out of Toronto, Edmonton or Calgary and some travel may be required.

**Primary Job Functions**:
The duties of the **Manager, Inflight Instructional Design **include:
**Inflight Training Development Specialist Leadership and Professional Development**
- Lead, mentor, and coach the Inflight Training Development Specialist team
- Establish priorities for the Inflight Training Development Specialist team to manage inflight training design, development/revision, and program implementation for the Inflight Services department
- Collaborate with Inflight Training Development Specialists to design and support the implementation of training programs designed with the adult learner in mind, supplying regulatory content and learning methods in a compliant and effective manner

**Delegated CASS 725.07 (2) (ii) Responsibilities - (B) Assuring a current and approved flight attendant training program**:

- Contribute to departmental long-term strategy and planning efforts, supporting the Sr. Manager, Inflight Standards and Training and the Manager, Inflight Training Delivery with training planning in addition to training facility and practical training equipment objectives
- Responsible to ensure all Flight Attendant training programs and materials meet all regulatory requirements (e.g., TP 12296 - Flight Attendant Training Standard, Canadian Aviation Regulations, Commercial Air Service Standards, Advisory Circulars, etc.) including, but not limited to, Initial, Annual, Requalification, Interference with Crew Member, Aviation Crew Member Security training
- Manage all aspects of Flight Attendant e-Learning through the Pelesys Training Management System (TMS) using the Learning Management System (LMS), Exam Generation System (EGS) and Electronic Training Records (ETR) modules.
- Manage revisions to all Flight Attendant training programs as dictated by the Flight Attendant Manual revision cycle, Company policies/procedures, and the training calendar
- Responsible to review all training programs/learning materials for accuracy and compliance prior to internal quality assurance review and Transport Canada submission
- Create, document, and maintain key training design processes
- When required, assist with training program design

**Project and Initiative Support**:

- Lead, coordinate, participate in various Inflight projects and initiative, as assigned by the Sr. Manager, Inflight Standards and Training (i.e., Entry into Service (EIS) of new aircraft/types to the fleet, software implementation, training apparatus acquisition(s), etc.)
- All other duties as assigned by the Sr. Manager, Inflight Standards and Training.

**Safety Duties, Accountabilities, Authorities and Responsibilities**:

- Report proactive and reactive safety issues
- Demonstrate knowledge of employee responsibilities regarding safety and actively participate in the company’s Safety Management System (SMS) program
- Conduct assigned tasks and corrective actions
- Encourage active participation in the SMS for all personnel

**Qualifications and Education Requirements**:

- Training in flight attendant standards and instructional techniques. Diploma/certificate - Curriculum Development and Instructional Design
- Minimum of five (5) years experience in developing training programs and leading teams
- Current or former experience as a Flight Attendant in a multi-crew aircraft (B737 experience preferred)
- People management/leadership skills
- Facilitation skills
- Advanced skills in Adobe Acrobat Pro, Articulate 360, Smartsheet, MS Office
- Continuous improvement/project management skills and methodologies
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada without restriction
- Clear criminal record check and satisfactory employment references
