As a Materials Technology Field and Laboratory Technician Intern you will carry out geotechnical site inspection and laboratory testing services for various construction projects within Toronto and surrounding area.

The site work will include:

- Conducting compaction testing during Site grading and backfilling operations
- Reinforcing steel inspection of various structural elements, concrete testing, and paving inspection services for building and pavement projects.

The laboratory work will include:

- Testing of soil, aggregate, and concrete samples (building materials) to determine engineering properties. This will include standard proctor testing, grain size analysis, determination of moisture content, compressive strength testing of concrete cylinders.

Skills & Qualifications:

- Must be enrolled in a civil, geotechnical or engineering program
- **Needs access to vehicles and valid drivers license to carry out Site inspections.**
