Our General Contracting division is thriving with commercial renovation and new build projects taking place throughout North America. Mirabelli Corporation is in growth mode and we are excited to announce that we are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Estimator to join our North York office. As Estimator you will be responsible for estimating the cost of commercial construction projects, working with a team of skilled Estimators. You will use your analytical skills to interpret complex projects and data to produce winning estimates.

**Responsibilities**:

- Analyze construction drawings and specifications to develop competitive tenders.
- Play a key role in securing new work
- Prepare construction related cost estimates, cost plans, and cost strategies.
- Prepare work to be estimated by gathering drawings, specifications, and related documents.
- Compute costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements
- Evaluate risks and evaluate construction timelines.
- Utilize BlueBeam to prepare accurate construction estimates.
- Develop understanding of scope of work and work flow.
- Determine key variables for cost.
- Obtain and review subcontractor estimates.
- Develop and maintain relationships with subtrades in Canada and the US.
- Provide consultation on scheduling of manpower needs.
- Review timelines and develop preliminary schedules.
- Maintain knowledge of provincial and state regulations.
- Research suppliers to find the best deals on supplies and services.

**Qualifications**:

- Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
- 3+ years of experience as an Estimator or Senior Estimator in a general contracting environment.
- Experience in retail and commercial construction.
- Ability to read construction drawings and specifications.
- Exceptional leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Expert knowledge in commercial building systems and construction plans and documentation.
- Demonstrated excellence in managing the client relationship during the preconstruction period.
- Capacity to coordinate multiple tasks through superior time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
