Harbour Estates is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Vineyard and Maintenance hand to join our team. The Vineyard and Maintenance Hand will be responsible for performing all vineyard related tasks as part of the vineyard growth process. They will operate vineyard equipment including tractors, mowers, hedgers, sprayers and more. They will need to know basic routine equipment maintenance and maintain accurate spray records.

This position will also involve property maintenance and event setup.

**Responsibilities**:
Vineyard

1. Operate a variety of vineyard equipment including tractors, mowers, hedgers, spreaders, sprayers

2. Assist in overseeing a small team of seasonal workers for pruning, tying, suckering and other vineyard tasks

3. Implement safety measures to any vineyard worker

4. Operation and maintenance of vineyard equipment

5. Spraying for weeds, pests and disease

6. Equipment calibration

7. Maintain accurate spray records

8. Vineyard infrastructure maintenance - fixing posts, wires, staples

9. Able to take a verbal task and complete it

10. Coordination of harvest logistics in collaboration with the winemaker

Maintenance

1. General building and property maintenance

2. Garbage removal from buildings

3. Clean and organize storage barn

4. Grounds maintenance

5. Assist in event setup as required

6. Assist in Cellar Duties when necessary

**Requirements**:
1. High school diploma

2. 1 year experience at a winery or vineyard

3. Agriculture equipment operation experience a definite asset

4. General knowledge and experience in construction and basic electrical and plumbing an asset

5. Forklift experience an asset

6. Must be able to obtain farmer assistant pesticide license

7. Able to organize and prioritize

8. Attention to detail

9. Able to fulfill instructions accurately

10. Strong knowledge of safety with viticulture equipment operation and maintenance

11. Able to lift up to 25 kg

12. Give close attention to either see or hear what is happening with equipment

13. Must be able to work alone, self starter

14. Available to work extended hours (weekend and holidays) during peak season or with other tasks that require immediate attention

15. Able to work in poor weather conditions - outdoors for extended periods of time

16. Strong team player

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
