**Your Role**

The Global Product Manager will play a critical role in value creation and revenue generating activities by specifying the right form, fit, and function for new products. In addition, you will introduce the products to the global market with impact and support our worldwide sales team's efforts to sell the products by eliminating all road blocks to successful market adoption.

Based in our Toronto (Markham) Office, you'll focus on our Encelium Advanced Lighting Control System - both software and hardware portfolios, and be responsible for Product Strategy, Roadmap, Lifecycle, Launch Sales Enablement, and Market Awareness.

**Your Responsibilities**
- Develop and implement a robust multi-year controls roadmap, including new product launches.
- Collaborate with our Engineering team, other category product managers, and key industry organizations to develop a technology roadmap and provide strategic direction for innovative growth opportunities.
- Delivering products to market with the impact that reaches stated strategic and financial requirements; ensuring we optimize opportunities by providing robust, differentiated products and messaging — supporting all go-to-market and market awareness activities.
- Understand our corporate strategic and competitive position to leverage stakeholder insights and market analysis and consider business goals when identifying and translating market needs into product development plans.
- Work with Product Marketing to establish Voice of Customer (VOC) exercises to develop insights, create business cases, and set clear priorities to bring the most impactful product introductions to the category.
- Champion the product and value creation strategy in all internal and external communications and collaborate closely with Marketing for the message to reach everywhere our potential customers and partners may be looking.
- Provide support for marketing collateral for products, including videos, pamphlets, brochures, catalog pages, data sheets, and more.
- Establish a deep understanding of competition, channels, pricing, and customers for the product line (i.e., competitor benchmarking).
- Work with our Customer/Field Teams to ensure issues are prioritized appropriately.
- You will manage product lifecycles from concept to obsolescence, phasing out products as market viability drops, bringing in new products to lead the market and fill portfolio gaps.

**Qualifications and Skills**

- You have cultivated an in-depth understanding of product development processes, including waterfall for hardware products and agile for software products.
- You have outstanding organizational, communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
- You have a BA/BS (preferably in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field experience) or Engineering Technology Diploma.
- You have an understanding of project management software (Confluence, Jira)
