- The Canadian Academic Writing Centre (CAWC) at City University is dedicated to enhancing students' academic writing, critical thinking skills, and academic integrity. The CAWC aims to empower students to write and communicate effectively and uphold the highest ethical standards in their academic work. We are looking for qualified instructors to join the CAWC and support our Master of Education in Leadership students._

**Key Duties**:

- Writing Consultation: Provide ongoing support to improve students' academic writing, focusing on clarity, structure, and argumentation.
- Critical Thinking Instruction: Integrate and promote critical thinking skills in writing consultations and workshops, helping students construct logical arguments and evaluate sources.
- Academic Integrity Education: Educate students on proper citation practices and plagiarism avoidance, ensuring adherence to academic integrity.
- Workshop Facilitation: Design and lead workshops on academic writing, critical thinking, and research skills tailored to various disciplines.
- Faculty Collaboration: Partner with university faculty to align writing support services with course objectives and assignments.

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- Master's or doctoral degree in English, TESOL or related fields.
- Minimum of 3 years experience teaching English in a higher education setting.
- Skills in addressing student academic-related issues and concerns in support of retention and student success.
- Culturally competent to serve a diverse student body.
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented system and deal effectively with professional staff, faculty, and culturally diverse students.
- Ability to present a professional image for the school and City University of Seattle.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and learning management systems in support of quality teaching and learning.

**Salary Information**:
The Part-time Teaching Faculty salary is based on course level and the number of course credits.
