We are looking for Production Associates to join our team Hours of work are based on a rotating Days (7:00am - 3:30PM) and Afternoons (3:10pm - 11:40pm) schedule. Midnight shift runs 10:50pm - 7:20am. What you get in returnThe most competitive pay in the industry based upon your skill level, along with a full benefits package. **The position duties will include, but are not limited to**: - Read, analyze, interpret & understand engineering documents & blueprints to complete an accurate quote - Provide blank layout, process lineup, blank size, press size, tool cost, gauge cost, tool lead time & SPM to cost estimator for generation of final customer quotes - Produce 20-25 Tool/Die quotations /day - Accurate completion of quotations as required in a logical time sensitive manner - Work with outside tool shops to gather quotes for cost, timing, & feasibility - Utilize NASG product standards to provide consistent quotations - Summarize & analyze outside tooling supplier quotes - Align with product/process engineering, sales-BDM’s, & AM’s as well as plant personnel for quote preparation as required - Review all print info for manufacturing feasibility & mark drawing accordingly - Participation in & support the Lean Manufacturing Process - Willing to work extra hours as required to ensure customer needs are met - Additional duties as required by the Quoting Manager Qualifications & Experience we are looking for include, but are not limited to: - Mechanical Engineering (Degree, Technologist or Technician) or C of Q Tool & Die - Solidworks, Unigraphics NX, or other 3D CAD software - Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing - 7-10 years in Metal Stamping - Blueprint reading including GD&T - Expert level understanding of metal stamping dies & part processing - Strong verbal & written communication skills in English - Ability to work with Suppliers, Customers & Associates to achieve required results - Ability to read, analyze, interpret, & understand engineering documents & blueprints such as 2D/3D automotive drawing (component, assembly, & equipment), technical standards - Thorough understanding & working knowledge of automotive stamping plants and processes/principles, company products, trade terminology, metal materials, stamping/welding/assembly manufacturing processes, tooling & equipment system & processes, die design & machine operation North American Stamping Group is a privately held company founded in 1978.
