**Position Description**:
The Assistant Pastor will work closely with the Lead Pastor, staff team and ministry teams to make Hillspring a place where all people can find and embrace life in Christ. This role will play an integral part in helping the church accomplish its mission by supporting the Lead Pastor in the areas of organizational leadership, executive administration and pastoral leadership.

**Responsible to**:Reports directly to the Lead Pastor.

**Qualifications**:

- A follower of Jesus
- In agreement with the mission, values and beliefs of Hillspring Church
- Experience in exercising servant leadership and developing leaders
- Highly administrative and detail-oriented
- Able to efficiently utilize technology to support the mission of the church
- Demonstrates the Biblical qualifications for pastors/elders (1 Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:6-9; 1 Peter 5:1-4)
- A self-starter with a team-player attitude
- Formal ministry training and/or 5 years of experience in pastoral ministry
- Passion and ability to work among a culturally and ethnically diverse community and church
- A heart for nurturing healthy communities within the church that are growing in love for God and others.
- Able to teach/preach in a manner that is cognizant of both a Canadian and local context
- Ability to lead worship is an asset

- Protecting the unity of the church body
- Attending weekly services and staff meetings
- Praying regularly for the church and those in the surrounding community
- Demonstrating a fruitful life that results from abiding daily in Christ

**Responsibilities**:
**Organizational Leadership (40 %)**
- Developing and implementing family a ministries strategy for ages JK to 20s-30s that aligns with the mission and vision of Hillspring Church.
- Leading Student (Grades 6-12) and 20s-30s communities.
- Working with staff team to develop midweek communities for adults.
- Organizing and giving oversight to Hillspring Kid’s community.
- Recruiting, training and overseeing family ministries volunteers.

**Executive Administration (30%)**
- Staying up to date on current insurance protocol for ministry volunteers
- Preparation and oversight of annual budgets related to family ministries
- Managing church database and calendar
- Scheduling volunteer teams

**Pastoral Leadership (30 %)**
- Sharing in preaching/teaching during weekend services and classes
- Directing leaders and congregation members towards Jesus
- Pastoral care

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract

**Salary**: $60,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
