**The Opportunity**
Leavitt Machinery is looking for a **Service Manager** to join our team in **Coquitlam, BC**. As the Service Manager, you will be responsible for managing the performance of the local Service department and team.
**Essential Duties & Responsibilities**
As the Service Manager your key responsibilities will include:
- Manage the performance and development of the Service department staff, including driving accountability of the team members, staffing the department appropriately, and facilitating proper training
- Partner with the Human Resources department on labour related and sensitive personnel issues
- Contribute to continuous improvement by leading or supporting LEAN initiatives, improving the overall efficiency of the department
- Proactively manage the Service fleet as it relates to vehicle purchases, replacements, repairs and maintenance
- Conduct weekly toolbox meetings with the local Parts and Service teams
- Work in partnership with other Internal Business Units to develop and grow key customer accounts while generating new business and revenue streams
- Actively addresses customer service issues and customer disputes
- Closely manage Key Performance Indicators that relate to the Service department
- Strategically analyze financial statements, utilizing them as a tool to drive the profitability of the department
- Advocate and drive compliance on all corporate safety initiatives, policies, and programs
**Required Skills & Qualifications**
- Previous leadership experience required, including at least 5 years of prior supervisory experience
- Post-secondary education in Sales, Business, Management, or a related discipline preferred
- Mechanical knowledge of heavy machinery or materials handling equipment is considered an asset
- Strong computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
- Superior skills in organization and planning
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization
- Experience with Lean Six Sigma considered an asset
- Adept at managing conflicting priorities in paralell
- Confident self-starter and team player

The base pay range for this role is: $100,000 to $130,000 per year, depending on experience.
This is an **onsite** role based in **Coquitlam, BC**.
