**What You Will Do With Us**
As the Outside Technical Sales - Smart Components Specialist, based in Winnipeg, Regina or Saskatoon, you will be responsible for growing sales of Smart Components products in our Midwest Division.
The Smart Components Specialist is the lead commercial resource for the Smart Components business within the Midwest Region. This position will be responsible for ensuring that the following activities occur for the Smart Components business within the Midwest Division:
**How You Will Thrive With Us**
- You will provide customer service and technical support to the Midwest area client base for Rockwell Automation (Allen-Bradley) and Rockwell Encompass products.
- You will prepare and follow-up on technical quotations.
- You will prepare and execute regional operating and business plans.
- You will promote Smart Components solutions by preparing technical seminars for customers and staff.
- You will work closely with the industrial outside sales personnel as well as direct on-site customer assistance as required. You will also be responsible for delivering new customer opportunities.
- You will promote Westburne as an automation solutions provider by maintaining a high level of technical expertise and presence within our customer base.
**Who Are You**
- You have previous sales and presentation experience.
- You have a Community College Electrical/Electronic (or Automation) Technician or Technologist diploma.
- You have product knowledge of industrial automation products, preferably Rockwell Automation/Allen-Bradley, as well as understands the complementary product lines with the Smart Components solutions.
- Provides selection and design advice for most assigned products in common configurations.
- Able to differentiate products/solutions from competition and promote the differences as meaningful benefits to the customer.
- Strong presentation skills in group and individual situations.
- Demonstrated knowledge & understanding of Automation standards & terminology.
- Knowledge of control systems and computer technology.
- Knowledge of Rockwell Automation Integrator Architecture is a plus.
- You have the proven ability to communicate effectively and build customer relationships.
- Have core competency for the current technology as it relates to the assigned products.
- TÜV or exida certification for Functional Safety is preferred
- Hold a valid drivers license and have the ability to travel for sales within Canada and training purposes in the USA.
